Nice!!
Winners: Bruins, Sabres, Pens, Blues, Canucks, Flyers
So-So: Habs, Isles, Oilers, LA (like elimination of "Los Angeles"), BOLTS, Canes,
What Sport is This?: Dallas, Thrashers
Why Bother? Chicago, Coyotes, Sharks, SENS (or is that SNES?)
WTF?!?!? Toronto (I assume) (CAC). Very bold, but when was that style used? Scary! [ September 05, 2008, 11:27 PM: Message edited by: Tim Zelmanski (TDZRO) ]

That is the one of the earliest Montreal Canadiens sweaters from 1912-13.

As for the rest of them shown, Boston and Carolina in a Secratariat-like runaway. Most of the others cannot overcome their "Edge-ness" to be worth bothering with. [ September 06, 2008, 12:45 AM: Message edited by: JeffB ]

Thanks for the info. Why are there 2 Montreal shirts then? That is why I thought maybe Toronto with the Maple Leaf, but the CAC screamed Canadian Athletic Club, or something like that....

The Montreal Canadiens are celebrating their 100th anniversary this year and rumor has it that they will be wearing four different jerseys this year - regular home and road and one uniform from 1912-13 and one from 1915-16.
Happy collecting! [ September 06, 2008, 01:11 AM: Message edited by: Casey Samuelson ]

The SNES... Super Nintendo Entertainment System
As any kid of the late 80's/early 90's would remember. Also the first Nintendo system to feature the classic cult game Mario Kart and EA Sports Hockey 94, 95, and 96. It's nice of Ottawa to celebrate such an outdated gaming system.

The BEST thing I've noticed about all these is the lack of numbers on the front. There are not too many jersey that those look good on. None in the NHL IMO!!!

Just one collectors opinion.
I would like to see the Hurricanes and Sharks make those logo their primary logos. They are much nicer looking than the original logos. It would look great if the Canes had it on a red jersey and the Sharks had it on a blue jersey instead of the blacks. I think too many teams have one or more styles of black jerseys and I would like to see a little more color in the NHL uniforms .
It would also be nice if the Kings had used a purple and gold accented jersey with the new logo for their third and when you think of the Blackhawks I always picture them in their red jerseys which are one of the nicest looking jerseys in the NHL.
The Sens jersey looks like crap, and the Dallas 3rd is very plain looking. I believe that collectors and fans alike would like their favorite teams to have a cool looking or classic looking logo instead of the printed name of the team or city across the front (with the exception of the Rangers who were an original 6 team).
I like the new 3rd jerseys designs of the Pens, Blues and Bruins. I also like seeing the classic styles again of the Isles, Sabres, Oilers and Flyers. I would like to see the Flyers go back to orange as their primary jersey color instead of black. [ September 06, 2008, 01:57 PM: Message edited by: NOHOCKEYB4ORR ]

Super66,
I have not heard anything about the Penguins circle crest changing from the Winter Classic jerseys.
WhalerFan10,
These jerseys have not "officially" been released, but the renderings are based off of descriptions by Howard Berger of HockeyBuzz.
hockeyjimm,
Atlanta and Dallas apparently will have numbers on the front of their jerseys.
Mike G.,
The Sabres jersey is supposed to be one color. The .png file changes the back of the Miller jersey for some reason on here.
Happy speculating! [ September 06, 2008, 04:49 PM: Message edited by: Casey Samuelson ]

The Hurricanes logo (of a puck being flushed down a toilet) has always bothered me to no end because it's upside down!! We've been looking at the underside of the puck since the day they left Hartford.

Didn't notice this til now but...
The illustration of the Sabres jersey conveniently doesn't include the gray piping and armpits. That takes a lot away from the design of the jersey, IMO.

Their promotion is "The Kings are BACK IN BLACK".
I guess I must be color blind, or need closer seats. The current home jerseys look to be black.

Will Meigray get the 3rds of the teams in their program? I've seen that they have the Sens jerseys on the website from 08/09 but no 3rds are listed. Will Joe Tomon get the Pens 3rds and do you think the prices will coincide with the prices for the homes and roads or rival the prices of the outdoor game from last season?
